tonkinese kittens
We are a small home raised cattery. Our kittens are raised one litter at a time in our home. They are never caged.
Our beautiful fur babies are handled from day one. Once the kittens are old enough to be weaned from their mom, they are fed homemade goats milk formula. We then add chicken meat baby food and a little cereal until they are ready for tiny sized kibble. They are offered Royal Canin Baby Cat & Solid Gold Indigo Moon as they get older. They are fed high quality canned food two-three times a day as well as still snacking on mom!! This is also the time for litter box training. This is a messy week, it is so enjoyable watching them figure it all out!
Once they are litter box trained they are taken into the "big house" for playtime and socialization. My husband, two sons and I lavish the kittens with love and playtime everyday. We also have family and friends visit and play with the kittens as well. Our kittens will be very comfortable in new situations, they go for rides in the car. They will have had at least one bath (being a pet groomer, I like clean kitties!) They have their nails trimmed weekly and their ears cleaned.
Our kittens are wormed and will be up to date on their vaccines. We also spay/ neuter all kittens before they go to their forever homes. They are also micro-chipped. They will also be registered through CFA(Cat Fanciers Accociation) They will have a health certificate from our veterinary hospital (Riverside Animal Hosital- Riverside R.I.) stating they are healthy and have had a negative stool test for worms. Kittens are ready for visits from potential families about six weeks old. They are ready for their forever homes around 12 weeks.
We send all of kittens home with a care package which will include a health certificate, samples of both wet and dry food, microchip registation information, toys, treats and a blanket which they used with their littermates to ease their transition. They will also recieve a kitten care book, vaccine record and useful information. We are always available to answer any questions you may have at any time. We love to be updated on our babies with pictures, phone calls or e-mails!
